Research, Data, and Knowledge

In times of repression, knowledge becomes resistance. The lived experiences of Afghan women must not be erased or misrepresented by others. Window for Hope supports participatory, ethical research that centers Afghan voices and avoids extractive practices.
We collaborate with local and diaspora researchers to collect and analyze data on education access, Health care access, gender-based violence, displacement, and civil resistance. This information feeds directly into our advocacy and programming, allowing for evidence-based decision-making. We also provide platforms for Afghan women to publish and share their perspectives whether through policy briefs, oral history archives, or academic collaborations. By investing in data sovereignty and knowledge creation, we ensure Afghan women remain authors of their narrative and contributors to global understanding of conflict, resilience, and justice.
